Sunblock, Sunscreen & Skin Protection Information Some doctors now recommend patients apply an SPF up to 24 hours before going in the sun allowing the skin to have a reservoir of SPF. The only problem if wearing a product containing a chemical sun block ingredient at night is the chemical may migrate into the eyes causing burning. Be careful not to apply the product too close to the eye area to prevent the problem.
